Scientific Program

The workshop will begin Sunday evening, August 1, with a reception at the hotel.  Monday morning, August 2, will be a plenary session with introductory presentations.  Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning participants will split into six Working Groups.  Tuesday afternoon will be free with the Workshop Banquet on Tuesday evening.  The Working Groups will meet again on Wednesday.  Thursday morning will be a plenary session at which Working Group summaries and closing remarks will be presented.  The Workshop ends around 1 PM on Thursday, August 5.

The Monday morning plenary will begin with announcements and RHESSI status updates.  These will be followed by several invited presentations.  Currently, presentations by Dean Pesnell (NASA/GSFC/SDO), Gottfried Mann (Potsdam, AIP), and Jim Drake (U. Md.) are confirmed.

Not all Working Groups will meet at all times.  Opportuinties for visiting other Working Groups are expected to be available.  Some of the Working Groups may at times split into sub-groups.  Links to each Working Group schedule can be found on the Working Groups Page.

The Monday through Thursday daily schedule will typically be as follows:

9:00 – 10:30 – Session 1
10:30 – 11:00 – Coffee Break
11:00 – 12:30 – Session 2
12:30 - 14:00 – Lunch
14:00 – 15:30 – Session 3
15:30 – 16:00 – Afternoon Break
16:00 – 17:30 – Session 4

A supplemental meeting, “Planning a New Flare/CME/SEP Mission“, will be held Thursday afternoon and Friday.  Separate registration is required for this meeting.
